You are ideally placed to take advantage of a wealth of  sporting opportunities as well as outstanding places of interest to visit in Northumberland and the Borders.  If you’re interested in Golfing, Fishing, Walking, Shooting, Cycling or Horse Riding you will be spoilt for choice

Golf: There are many outstanding golf courses in the area, in particular The Hirsel Country Club in Coldstream, as well as courses in Belford, Berwick , Wooler, Bamburgh Castle, Kelso, Roxburgh etc

Fishing: You are a short distance from the Tweed, one of the finest salmon rivers in the world, and the Till which is a tributary of the Tweed.  On the Ford & Etal Estate there are public stretches of the Till, and permits are available from the Ford & Etal Estate Office (01890 820224) and in nearby Milfield and Ford Post Offices.

Walking:  You are close to the magnificent Cheviot Hills which mark the boundary between England and Scotland. The beautiful Northumberland Coastline is within 15 miles where the dedicated walker can follow “The Cuthbert Trail” from Spittal to Ross Links, calling at Holy Island. (Walk no #227)
